Women in Science and Engineering
Women in Science and Engineering, otherwise known as WISE, met for the first time in the fall of 2013 with a simple brown bag lunch. Our members are faculty, graduate students, and postdocs in the science and engineering departments at Baylor University. Our goal is to support each other, increase the number of women and minorities in STEM at Baylor, and mentor new faculty.
The WISE chair is Dr. Rizalia Klausmeyer, Program Director of Science and Health Living-Learning Center. WISE meets monthly for brown bag lunches at which we invite speakers, socialize, and/or discuss topics recognize their excellence in research and their work in advancing women in science and engineering. If you would like to nominate graduate students for this opportunity, please email BaylorWISE@baylor.edu.
